The Queen has congratulated Harry and Meghan's son Archie on his second birthday.
"Wish Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy second birthday today," said the Royal Family Twitter account, which Elizabeth II usually uses to make public statements.
In addition, the palace published a picture of the young family shortly after Archie's birth in May 2019.
Archie is the eighth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and the fourth grandson of Prince Charles.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan now live in California with their son and have said goodbye to the British Crown.
A television interview in which the couple accused the royal family of racism and lack of support deepened the rifts again.
Whether Harry's visit to Great Britain for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip has contributed to a rapprochement has so far only been speculated.
Archie also inspires mom Meghan
Meghan recently announced that she had written a children's book about the relationship between fathers and sons.
The 39-year-old was inspired to write the book entitled "The Bench" by her husband and son Archie, as the couple's foundation announced.
The children's book with illustrations by Christian Robinson is due for release on June 8th.
"The Bench began as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father's Day, the month after Archie was born," the Duchess explained.
“This poem then became this story.” She wanted to capture “the warmth, joy and consolation in the relationship between fathers and sons in all areas of life”.
Harry and Meghan are now expecting their second child.
"We can confirm that Archie will be a big brother," the couple announced in February.
The baby will be eighth in the line of succession after birth, behind grandfather Charles, Harry's brother William and his children George, Charlotte and Louis, and dad Harry and little brother Archie.
