What do we know about climate change and its impact on our daily life?

What information do we have on the behaviors to be adopted to combat it and on the strategies implemented by governments?

These are the themes of the online survey "SALLO! Quiz" - or "everything you wanted to know about adaptation and climate mitigation" - conceived by Enea (National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) for gather information on the most widespread beliefs in this field and strengthen the dialogue between research and civil society, also in view of the Pre-Cop26 in Milan (30 September-2 October 2021) and the Cop26 in Glasgow (1-12 November 2021).



The questionnaire is anonymous, explains Enea, is completed in just over 10 minutes and includes 20 questions on climate and global warming, costs and impacts of climate change, sectors with higher greenhouse gas emissions, policies, strategies, expectations and good practices. The answers will be available on the ENEA website starting from September while the aggregate results of the questionnaire will be presented on the occasion of Pre-Cop 26 and published on the Agency's website and social accounts.



"Understanding what we know about climate change is important to remove behavioral barriers and understand how to develop effective communication strategies; for this reason we hope for the widest participation in the initiative", highlights Melania Michetti, Enea researcher in the Models and technologies for reduction division. of anthropogenic impacts and natural risks. "Furthermore, we believe that raising public awareness represents a decisive junction for promoting that bottom-up socio-cultural change, capable of triggering virtuous behavior and guiding a real and effective transition towards a more sustainable and resilient, "he adds.



The survey was born within the Enea Department of Sustainability of Production and Territorial Systems which aims to develop new production and consumption systems based on the sustainable use of resources, on the reduction of emissions and related impacts, on land management, including marine-coastal areas and the mitigation of hydrogeological and seismic risks. In particular, the activities concern R&D of technologies, methodologies, processes and products; the design and construction of prototypes; the provision of advanced technical services, transfer and dissemination of technologies and knowledge to businesses, local and national institutions and citizens.
