“I was really looking forward to seeing you all this summer, but unfortunately because of the situation things keep getting pushed back.

We are very happy to be doing the show in 2023 and I look forward to seeing you again.

2023 here we are!

“, Indicates the megastar in the press release of the festival.

"This is proof that we are moving forward, we are not giving up anything"

"This is good news, it is proof that we are making progress, we are not giving up," said Jérôme Tréhorel, director of Vieilles Charrues, an event which takes place in Carhaix in Brittany. The Vieilles Charrues, which welcomed 270,000 spectators in 2019, before being canceled in 2020, will be one of the few major festivals for current music to be held this summer. However, its framework will be turned upside down by health constraints: the organizers have worked on a new device, seated, with a limit of 5,000 people, hosted during 10 evenings of concerts, from July 8 to 18, instead of the usual four days.

In the morning, the Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot, heard by the Committee on Cultural Affairs at the General Assembly, also detailed the conditions for organizing festivals this summer, while from July 1, the restrictions gauges will be lifted for all venues and where the audience is seated. "Outdoor festivals in a standing configuration will be able to resume, according to a gauge of 4 m2 per festival-goer and within a limit which will be defined by the prefect according to local circumstances," she explained.

“If we are talking about a land of 4000 m2 for 1000 people, that can be considered, there are spaces large enough not to stick to each other.

But if we are talking about a square of 4 m2 per person, it is unmanageable.

Nobody wants to live such an experience ”, reacts Aurélie Hannedouche, head of the Syndicate of current music (Sma).

The European dates for the “Courage” world tour planned for this summer have been postponed to 2023. The shows which were to be held from June 29 to July 25, 2021 are postponed from May 31 to July 17, 2023.
