On suspicion of membership in a right-wing terrorist association, the Federal Prosecutor's Office has had the homes of four accused searched since the morning hours.
The raid is based on SPIEGEL information against a woman and three men from Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Lower Saxony and Thuringia.
The background to the raid are investigations into suspected terrorism.
Accordingly, the four accused are said to have belonged to a group called "The Hard Core" since September 2019, which among other things communicated covertly in chats and is said to have discussed right-wing extremist attacks.
A meeting of the group is said to have taken place a year and a half ago in Heilbronn.
According to SPIEGEL information, there were no arrests in the course of the current measures against the "hard core".
A 56-year-old woman from the Unterallgäu district is said to belong to the leadership of the group.
According to the investigation, "The Hard Core" is said to have had ideological and personal overlaps with the right-wing extremist "Group S.", whose members are currently being tried before the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court.
In the mammoth trial, in addition to the alleged leader of the group, Werner S., eleven other men from the right-wing extremist milieu have to answer for the planning of attacks on mosques and politicians.
Their aim is said to have been to bring about "conditions similar to civil war".
The trial takes place under high security in the courtroom of the Stuttgart-Stammheim prison.
The court initially set 30 hearing dates until August, but the proceedings could drag on into next year.
