This Thursday, the Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti affirmed that all the people who received a dose of the vaccine against covid-19 will complete the scheme;
and announced that as of May 21,
861,600 doses of AstraZeneca
will arrive
through the Covax mechanism.
However, there are no details on when components 2 of Sputnik V, the most widely applied vaccine in the country, will begin to arrive.
So far the country has received 4,975,590 doses of the 1 and only 1,060,155 of the second.
The Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, said that more than 800 thousand doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine will arrive in May.
In the last hours Russia approved the "Sputnik Light", a single component and a single dose, which is identical to the first half of the "traditional" vaccine.
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) ensures that it protects 79.4% after 28 days.
The Government assures that there will be no changes in the vaccination strategy, at least with the doses acquired so far.
Meanwhile, the Government of Buenos Aires called for a vaccination against covid-10 for pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding and who have pre-existing diseases, people with cirrhosis, HIV and transplants.
