No drivers license?
No problem!
At least that's what a 50-year-old man in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania thought.
When the federal police checked the driver on the Autobahn 11 near Schmölln on Thursday, the officials found that the man had neither had a driver's license nor a driver's license for 17 years.
The 50-year-old only showed his passport and the second part of the registration certificate during the inspection, the police said.
The officers started a query and found that the man had to surrender his driver's license in 2004.
Since then, however, the 50-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of his car, it was said.
The police in the Bavarian town of Würzburg had already confiscated his car key and the first part of the registration certificate.
According to the police, the man used the duplicate key on Thursday.
When the 50-year-old was checked, a drug test also hit.
The state police in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are now taking over the case.
