(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 07 - Tolo Tolo, written directed and interpreted by Luca Medici, won the David delloSpettatore at the 66th edition of the David di Donatello Awards. Locomunica Piera Detassis, President and Artistic Director of the Academy of Italian Cinema - David di Donatello Awards.
The prize will be awarded on 11 May as part of the 66th edition of the David di Donatello Awards, the event will be broadcast live in prime time on RAI 1 and will be conducted by Carlo Conti.
The recognition, introduced in 2019, is an award that intends to express the Academy's attention and thanks to the films and authors who have strongly contributed to the industrial success of the entire cinematographic supply chain.
Tolo Tolo has collected the highest number of spectators among the films released in theaters by February 28, 2021: on the basis of the data provided by Cinetel and calculated by the end of February 2021, Tolo Tolo totaled 6,674,622 spectators.
Among the awards already announced at the 66th edition of the David di Donatello Awards, the Lifetime Achievement Award to Sandra Milo and the David Speciali awarded to Diego Abatantuono and Monica Bellucci. To Anne by Domenico Croce and Stefano Malchiodi the Daviddi Donatello for the best short film.
