Let’s take a look at everything we know about corona vaccines and the various considerations here and there so that everyone can understand the facts and wisely decide what is right for their family members.

What are the dangers of COVID 19 in children?

It is estimated that about half of the children who become infected with the corona virus go through the "disease" without symptoms, and some are not even aware that they have been infected.

The other children who become infected with corona, those who do show symptoms, usually go through a mild illness and recover within days to a few weeks and return to their strength.

However, it has been reported that even recovering from mild to moderate illness suffer from fatigue, chest pain and impaired functioning even after one year from the illness itself.

In any case, the side effects usually go away within 48 hours after the injection, and certainly within a week in the more severe cases.

Reports of more serious symptoms, such as blood clots or infertility, have been shown to be unrelated to Pfizer vaccines beyond any doubt.

These side effects are the degree of discomfort and the "danger" of having to "pay" for over 95 percent protection against the virus.

And what about long-term effects and dangers?

This question is important both for the long-term consequences of COVID 19 and for the side effects of the vaccine.

It is clear that in the absence of experience, it is impossible to know with certainty whether there are dangers that may develop over time.

In fact, all we know is only since the outbreak of the plague in December 2019. At the same time, it is possible to speculate what the dangers may be in the future in light of our experience from other diseases and vaccines.

Long-term disciplinary dangers are known in several viral diseases.

For example, years after recovering from chickenpox, 7 out of 1,000 people aged 35 and over will develop shingles - a disease of severe pain that lasts for weeks or more, and can lead to blindness or hearing loss.

It is important to emphasize that the way to protect yourself from the danger of shingles is to get vaccinated against the smallpox virus even in old age.

Another example is a very severe fatal neurological disease which is a complication of measles.

The disease, called SSPE, is rare and occurs in only 1 in several thousand cases of people who contracted and recovered from a quarry in childhood, but the cases in which SSPE develops are fatal in general, and always involve great suffering and trauma to the patient and family.

It is important to understand that even if there are no long-term dangers at stake for Corona itself, there may well be negative consequences to COVID 19 treatment in those who have had a serious illness. A soft child who is forced to undergo soul resuscitation and life-saving treatments is expected to undergo prolonged rehabilitation and danger of irreversible damage following the disease and its treatment. Of course, do not forget the vulnerable children in the first place, such as those suffering from asthma and immunosuppressants, obesity, diabetes, birth defects and more.

Long-term side effects of vaccines are not uncommon at all. When it comes to a live-attenuated vaccine like the polio vaccine, there is a danger that it could cause polio in a case of one in every two million vaccinated. This is a real danger that appears within weeks after the vaccine is given. But it is important to remember that such a danger does not exist at all when it comes to the Pfizer vaccine for Corona, because the RNA vaccine does not have attenuated or even dead viruses, and in light of this - it is completely safe.

All in all, the vaccine is known to be effective and safe in adults.

Unfortunately, the risk of severe COVID 19 in children cannot be ignored, even if the numbers are relatively small.

In light of all this, serious consideration should be given to vaccinating our children when the Pfizer vaccine is approved by the Ministry of Health and becomes available, and by doing so our children can be protected from corona dangers.
