Cucchi: two carabinieri sentenced to 13 years for beating

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 07 - The two carabinieri Alessio Di Bernardo and Raffaele D'Alessandro accused of beating StefanoCucchi were sentenced to 13 years for intentional murder. This was decided by the judges of the Court of AssisteD'Appello in Rome.


    In the appeal process for the beating suffered by StefanoCucchi in 2009 in Rome, the carabiniere Roberto Mandolini had a slight penalty discount from 4 and a half to 4 years while Francesco Tedesco saw the sentence of two years and six months confirmed. For them the accusation is false. "My thoughts go to Stefano and my parents who are not here today in the classroom. It is the high price they have paid in recent years", Ilaria Cucchi said, commenting on the sentence. (HANDLE).
