Funny, absurd and touching sketches in "The troupe at Palmade has fun with François Berléand", a burlesque film by and with Clovi

SAYNETES.

Chic!

A shock troop

At 8:50 pm on France 5.

François Berléand is always on the right track, a tender grump who is so funny on stage and on screen.

A comic power that he puts at the service of the troupe in Palmade, this thirty merry fellows who gathered, for a time, around Pierre Palmade, to write and put on plays, to commit sketches in harmony with the quirky universe of the humorist.

A troupe dissolved for a while, but reformed in 2019 for a few recordings at the theater of the work.

After Muriel Robin, and before Isabelle Nanty, it is with François Berléand that the band entertains us in a series of funny, absurd, touching sketches because they contain an element of truth which each refers to known or lived moments.

The actors immerse us in the daily life of couples or friends, loneliness and bizarre or lost individuals, in wacky and improbable situations.

There is the depressed son-in-law who speaks to his ex-father-in-law - Berléand - a guy who looks like he has Gilles de la Tourette's accent, not mastering the way he pronounces his words. , an individual stuck in the middle of a shady transaction, an obnoxious client in a taxi or an awkward reunion in a bar.

Situations that can challenge and hurt, such as the hospice and the distress of grandpa - Berléand again - imprisoned in a system against which all resistance seems in vain.

Or that of the transsexual, and the difficulty, violence too, which can arise from ignorance and intolerance.

Without mocking, with finesse, sometimes poetry, Berléand, Palmade and company have fun, amuse us.

But not only.

HUMOR.

Music soothes the soul

Cine Nomine / Eric Caro

At 9:05 pm, on Chérie 25.

Recluse at home for seven years following a personal tragedy, a puzzle inventor sees hardly anyone except his best friend. When the adjoining apartment is rented to a young pianist who has come to rehearse her competition, the silence is over! From the first night, strange noises terrified the musician. Who, however, will resist. The ploys to scare off this neighbor fail. We will have to live together… Without seeing each other.

At first, we are worried.

In the middle, we are snatched.

In the end, we are seduced.

For his first film as a director, Clovis Cornillac took the risk of a burlesque departure.

He is saved by a scenario full of resources which flourishes little by little.

And no need to put on glasses to recognize Mélanie Bernier as an essential actress in French cinema.

ANIMATION.

Samy, the eco-friendly turtle

At 9:05 p.m., on Gulli.

If at times they look a little too much like “Finding Nemo” (2003), Samy's adventures can be followed with pleasure: children will be captivated by the quest of this young sea turtle in search of his beloved, Shelly. A long journey - which spans fifty years! - across the world, during which Samy will come across a whole bestiary. Beyond its feathered enemies - it will escape the attack of an eagle - and scales when it faces piranhas, the reptile will discover that an infinitely greater danger threatens its congeners: human pollution and oil spills.

In the end, this initiatory tale coupled with an ecological fable, signed by Belgian director Ben Stassen ("Royal Corgi", excellent), plunges into the depths thanks to beautiful images and quality graphics, while broadcasting a few messages for make the youngest aware of environmental protection.

Something to delight the little ones, especially those under 6 years old.

ACTION.

Depardieu and Clavier thoroughly

Gérard Depardieu and Christian Clavier in "Les Anges gardiens" Gaumont distribution

At 10:50 p.m. on TF 1 Séries Films.

Christian Clavier and Gérard Depardieu met for the first time on the set of "Tell him that I love him", by Claude Miller, in the early 1970s. It was Depardieu who took the initiative for their reunion. cinematographic in "The guardian angels" in 1995.

The first sequences of this film, rich in gags and amazing special effects, take place in Hong Kong.

We discover Antoine Carco (played by Depardieu), owner of a cabaret, who must discreetly bring back 40 million dollars in treasury bills to Paris.

For this, he will use the services of a French priest, Father Tarain (Clavier), hiding his fortune in the agenda of the worthy clergyman.

The film goes fast, the action is sustained and a merry series of stunts adds to the miracles of technology.

This frenzied rhythm is based on the duo of actors, a sort of two-stroke engine and, for once, since they are duplicated, a four-stroke waltz, which works well.

Huppert and Poelevoorde, what a couple!

It was the second time that Benoît Poelvoorde toured with Anne Fontaine.

He confided to us: “Anne and I have similar neuroses.

She drooled over me!

On the phone, I told him:

It's your worst nightmare calling.

The title comes from there.
