A textile discounter publishes a safety warning about three items of clothing for children that are at risk of injury.
Kleve / Niederrhein - The Dutch textile discounter Zeeman with a German branch in Kleve am Niederrhein is recalling clothing for young people.
This emerges from a publication on the company's website.
A check has shown that the drawstring is too long in some cases and therefore does not meet the safety requirements, according to Zeeman in the message.
The excessively long cords can cause injuries to children, warns the consumer
portal Produktwarnung.eu.
Long cords, chains and also lanyards can lead to strangulation or severe cuts in the hip area of children when playing, the portal continues.
The following three products are affected by the recall:

C52830 / A25959 teenage jogging pants, blue
C41433 / A40919 Swim shorts blue with print and yellow monochrome

The discounter sold the youth clothing affected between October 2020 and January 2021, the swim shorts were available from June 2018 to November 2020.

Anyone who has one of the affected items can return it to a Zeeman store of their choice.
Customers get their money back immediately.
