(ANSA) - VERONA, 08 MAY - With the green light for the derogation on the maximum capacity given by the ASL 9 Scaligera - after the OK of the Conference of the Regions -, the Arena of Verona is ready to open the gates up to 6,000 spectators for the Opera Festival and non-opera events. This was announced by Undersecretary for Culture, Lucia Borgonzoni, during a streaming meeting with the mayor of the city, FedericoSboarina, president of the Arena Foundation. Now, Sboarina reported, "only the formal implementation by the Region is missing". But an experimental hypothesis of full capacity (ie about 15 thousand) for the amphitheater is being evaluated. Borgonzoni, who worked on the project, said he had the green light from the Scientific Technical Committee for an experiment involvingcarrying out the rapid anti-Covid swab to spectators entering the Arena and repeating the test (for possible tracing) one week after the event. The tampons will be free, thanks to the collaboration of some pharmaceutical companies. This, however, only for the shows for which the sale of tickets is not already underway - like the Opera Festival. (HANDLE).
