(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 08 - India recorded more than 4,000 coronavirus deaths in one day for the first time.
The Indian government has made it known.
The 4,187 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours have brought India's total death toll to 238,270 since the start of the pandemic.
Also in the last 24 hours, there are another 401,078 new cases of positivity.
There are now nearly 21.9 million people affected by the virus in the country.
