A tricolor system, based on the intensity of the Covid-19 epidemic, to know where to go to travel outside Europe this summer.
This is what the government is working on to allow everyone to identify the destinations they would like to go to, Secretary of State for Tourism Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne said on Saturday.
“There are certain countries, as we can see, where variants are still very active, […] and therefore we will be working on lists and colors.
There will be green countries, orange countries, red countries, ”he explained on Europe 1.
"We are working on these lists within the government and also with our European colleagues", he added, specifying that only "five or six" would currently be in green.
“But as and when (the decline of the third wave) it will widen”.

The government hopes to achieve "by the end of the month", specified the entourage of the Secretary of State, adding that these lists would be updated according to the evolution of the epidemic in the territories concerned.
It is not yet clear what specific provisions this system will entail.
The UK has also planned a similar traffic light device to classify countries, including whether or not Britons are exempt from quarantine upon their return.
Health pass within the EU
Currently, the European Union has defined a list of third countries whose travelers can be admitted to its territory, whether or not they are vaccinated against Covid.
It contains seven countries: Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand.
However, the authorities of the EU Member States remain responsible for lifting travel restrictions on the countries on the list.
For travel between EU countries, the European Commission is preparing the establishment of a European health certificate, which it wants operational before the end of June.
"We will be happy to welcome Europeans in the same way that French people will be happy to visit Europe", rejoiced Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne.
