Truck traffic is intense and noisy on the main road to the port of Gennevilliers.
Boats also load and unload.
This vast complex sees 20 million tonnes pass through it each year.
It is the largest river port in France, located a few kilometers from Paris.
And yet, it is paradoxical, but it is very difficult, even mission impossible, to find a store there open for the 8000 employees.
There was a restaurant with a view of the port, but it closed three years ago for lack of profitability.
This table would scare away any store designer.
However, everything is there for the Boxy company to take an interest in it: "We are setting up our mini markets in all rural, industrial or peri-urban areas which have very little or no local food offerings," explains David Gabai, the co-founder of concept.
Their stores are maritime containers, bright red, autonomous and therefore without cash register or seller, in which have been installed basic food products, but also some fresh products.
You can access the traffic area using your smartphone.

How it works ? All you have to do is download the Boxy application and link your bank card to it. A QR code is provided which allows you to enter the store. Once inside, the customer chooses his products. Cameras detect what he chooses. The cost of the purchases is then taken directly from the consumer's Copt when it leaves the store.
