Falling rocket re-entered the Indian Ocean

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 09 - The second stage of the Chinese Long Marcia 5B rocket has returned to the atmosphere on the Indian Ocean, in an area close to the Maldives islands. This was announced by the human flight office of the Chinese space agency CNSA.


    The return was also confirmed by data from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad). Compared to the initial preparations, they indicated the North Atlantic as a probable point of re-entry, then the Mediterranean basin and the most accredited hypothesis so far is that the re-entry may have occurred over the Indian Ocean (ANSA).
