A textile discounter publishes a safety warning about three items of clothing for children that are at risk of injury.
Kleve / Niederrhein - The Dutch textile discounter Zeeman with a German branch in Kleve am Niederrhein is recalling clothing for young people.
This emerges from a publication on the company's website.
A check has shown that the drawstring is too long in some cases and therefore does not meet the safety requirements, according to Zeeman in the message.
The excessively long cords can cause injuries to children, warns the consumer
portal Produktwarnung.eu.
Long cords, chains and also lanyards can lead to strangulation or severe cuts in the hip area of children when playing, the portal continues.
The following three products are affected by the recall:
C56797 / A71000 teenage skirt black PU
C52830 / A25959 Teenagers' jogging pants, blue

The textile discounter has hundreds of branches in Germany and is also represented internationally in the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, France and Luxembourg.
Fortunately, no incidents with the affected clothing are known to date. Things looked different when the fitness equipment manufacturer Peloton was recalled. Several accidents involving children had occurred there. Callbacks are rare, but the reasons are mostly similar. In order to avoid recalls as much as possible, there are strict requirements and laws in Germany, particularly when it comes to the processing of food.
