Fatal accident at the Mugello circuit during the Italian motorcycling cup.
The victim was a 59-year-old driver, Stelvio Boaretto, engaged in the Italian amateur trophy, category 1000 Advanced.
The pilot was involved, with other participants, in a race accident in which he sustained the most serious injuries.
Immediately rescued and revived on the track by the medical staff of Mugello, the 59-year-old was transported to the medical center of the circuit where he died.
Federmoto, the promoter of the trophy, and the Mugello circuit jointly decided to stop the event.
Boaretto, a native of Padua and a veterinarian by profession, was a great fan of motorcycling. The IMF president Giovanni Copioli, warned of the accident, declared: "In this dramatic moment I join the family with condolences and participation. A fatality has deprived us of a true enthusiast and has ravaged a Trophy where passion is the protagonist".
