So far reserved for vaccination centers, it will be the first messenger RNA vaccine to arrive in town, earlier than expected. This is what

Doctors and pharmacists will be able to order anti-Covid Moderna vaccines from May 17, for delivery scheduled for the following week and the first possible injections in pharmacies from May 28.

This is what indicated Monday to the two main unions of pharmacists.

A first messenger RNA vaccine is arriving in town: until now reserved for vaccination centers, Moderna was due to switch in June;

it will finally be a little earlier than expected.

"Orders will be opened on May 17 and 18, then confirmed on the 21st, for delivery on the 27th, so the first vaccinations at the pharmacy will take place on the 28th," said Philippe Besset, president of the FSPF, the leading pharmacists' union.

An agenda corroborated by Gilles Bonnefond, of the Uspo (2nd union), who adds that liberal caregivers will receive 300,000 doses per week.

This corresponds to two-thirds of the 440,000 weekly deliveries expected until mid-June, according to data published by the government on the data.gouv.fr site.

The remaining third will be used to ensure the second doses until July, when the entire flow will go to town. Pharmacists are now hoping to win the case for the Pfizer vaccine. "We have to work very seriously on it in anticipation, so that we can have it this summer", emphasizes Gilles Bonnefond, while Philippe Besset is more confident: "We will get there".
