The French serial killer Michel Fourniret is dead. He died at the age of 79 in a Paris hospital, as confirmed by public prosecutor Rémy Heitz.

His ex-wife helped him with this.

Last November, Fourniret was rushed to hospital after being weak in his prison cell.
According to media reports, his neurological condition in particular had deteriorated.
The 79-year-old had been in the secure ward of the Pitié Salpétrière hospital in Paris since April 28.
