Four more.
Bahrain, Colombia, Costa Rica and Uruguay were added this Friday to the list of countries affected by mandatory quarantine on arrival in France, Matignon announced on Friday.
Passengers from these states must, from Sunday, respect ten days of isolation, in a place defined by prefectural decree.
Government spokesman Gabriel Attal announced Wednesday that five new countries would be added, but without revealing them until the information goes back through the diplomatic circuit.
In the end, therefore, it is in fact four countries.
The list already included Brazil, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, but also the French department of Guyana.
All these areas present both a degraded health situation and a strong circulation of certain variants of SARS-CoV-2.
5,300 checks carried out
Travelers from these territories must provide proof on arrival of a PCR test of less than 36 hours and must declare to the airline their place of quarantine in France, with supporting documentation.
The measure, which lasts ten days, comes with permission to leave between 10 a.m. and noon.
