(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 10 MAY - The American Food and Drug Administration (Fda) has given the green light to the use of the Pfizer and BioNtech vaccine on children between 12 and 15 years of age.
Thanks to the latest decision of the FDA in the USA, vaccination can be started in middle schools with the aim of completing it before the autumn.
The Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine in the US is already given for ages 16 and up.
The two companies announced last March that the vaccine in question had been shown to be 100% effective in about two thousand adolescents from clinical trials.
