A gas explosion is believed to have caused two houses to collapse in England on Sunday.
In the incident in the village of Heysham near Lancaster, a small child was killed, the police said.
Four other people were injured, two seriously.
The collapsed buildings were row houses, said the fire department in Lancashire.
Ten emergency vehicles are on the way.
The energy company Electricity North West announced on Twitter that it would turn off the power supply in the affected area as a precaution.
The company spoke of a "serious incident".
