After the last night of the regular season, the pairings of the first round playoff series and the play-in tournament in the two conferences were defined.
Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors will meet in head-to-head to face the Phoenix Suns, while Milwaukee-Miami and Clippers-Dallas will compete again after last year's playoff series.

The Play-In is a tournament that involves the teams from 7th to 10th place of each conference. The novelty introduced last season has caused discussion but also kept interest alive until the end of the 72 games: it is played from 18 to 21 May, then from 22 to the post season.
