Prisoners without pre-existing diseases and in some cases who do not exceed 30 years received the first dose of vaccines against the coronavirus in Chubut in a situation that caused

controversy and outrage

among people, especially on social networks.

Among the now

"VIP vaccinated prisoners"

is a femicide, a 26-year-old doctor who ran over and killed a young man in Rawson while intoxicated, another 20-year-old prisoner for a drug crime, a 51-year-old femicide and a former official arrested for 49-year-old corruption.

In total, around

100 prisoners

received the first dose of the vaccine, among which there are also offenders with leafy medical records.

In Chubut, the percentage of older people vaccinated and those with pre-existing diseases is very low, since vaccines, as in almost the entire country, arrive in a trickle.

In any case, the Ministry of Health put in place a very neat and fast system when it comes to vaccinating people.

, Health Minister Fabián Puratich said that “we received an intimation from those responsible for the prison services to send vaccines” and added that “an outbreak in those places (as happened in Unit Six of Rawson and the 14 of Esquel, both federal) would bring us many problems ”.

In addition, the minister complained because "the names of those vaccinated" appeared and promised an investigation into the incident.

The Procurator General of the Province, Jorge Miquelarena, was also outraged, who by note had requested vaccines for prosecutors and for those who work in the Assistance Service for Victims of Violence.
