According to several industry insiders, the new game "Starfield" from Bethesda will be an exclusive game for Xbox and Microsoft.
PS5 owners are left behind.
It was one of the most spectacular news in the games industry of the last year: Microsoft announced that it would buy up Bethesda and Zenimax *.
It was therefore clear that users of the Xbox Game Pass would sooner or later have access to popular titles such as “Skyrim”, “Fallout” or “Doom”.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer also confirmed a few months ago that some new Bethesda games will appear exclusively on Microsoft's platforms.
Apparently, "Starfield" will be the first major title to do so.
Several industry insiders are now reporting this.
"Starfield" exclusively for Xbox & PC?
Game will not appear for PlayStation
One of the insiders is Jeff Grubb.
He is considered a reliable source of such information.
He recently confirmed on Twitter that “Starfield” would be released exclusively for Xbox and PC.
Starfield is exclusive to Xbox and PC.
Period.
This is me confirming that.

In the race for next-gen consoles, Microsoft is currently lacking attractive exclusive titles, while Sony has published successful games such as “Spider-Man: Miles Morales” or, more recently, “Returnal”.
It therefore seems understandable that “Starfield” will be released exclusively for Xbox and PC, which may have the potential to become a system seller for the Xbox Series X.
If the game is also available as a day one release in the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft could gain numerous new subscribers.

What kind of game is “Starfield” anyway?
Starfield was first revealed in 2018, but hasn't seen much of the game since.
However, it is said to be a kind of sci-fi counterpart to "Skyrim".
There may be more to see soon.
Many industry insiders are expecting a major reveal at
E3 2021
, which will take place in June.
Some even expect a release by the end of the year.
It remains to be seen whether this will come true.
Since Microsoft currently lacks new, coveted exclusive titles, an imminent release seems quite understandable.
