Burma: death toll exceeds 800

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 18 - The death toll of confirmed deaths in Burma since the start of the anti-coup protests reached 802 yesterday: this was reported by the Association for the assistance to political prisoners (Aapp).

    According to the non-profit organization for the defense of human rights based in Thailand, six other victims were registered on Monday: these are people who had been killed in recent days, but who had not yet been counted.
