India: cyclone Tauktae, 127 people missing at sea

About 127 people are missing in the Arabian Sea due to the sinking caused by the cyclone Tauktae of a barge adrift off the coast of Mumbai: the Indian Navy has announced. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - MUMBAI, 18 MAY - About 127 people are missing in the Arabian Sea due to the sinking caused by the Tauktae cyclone of a barge adrift off the coast of Mumbai: this was announced by the Indian Navy.

Two naval ships and some helicopters participate in the search and rescue operations in these hours.

On board the boat there were 273 people and so far 146 have been rescued.
