German wine is usually not at the top of the international popularity ranking.
Within Europe, countries such as France and Italy are big competitors, while wine fans from the USA often prefer domestic drops from California.
Not so singer Pink: In an interview, she revealed that she has a preference for the German varieties.
The 41-year-old is particularly fond of one kind: "I have a T-shirt that says: If you don't like Riesling, you're a damn idiot," said the dpa musician.
"I love German wine."
She wanted to "definitely visit the wine regions in Germany, I've never been there".
In July 2019, the singer visited the restaurant of a local wine merchant before her concert in Stuttgart and was very enthusiastic about it.
According to the owner of the wine store to local media, she was particularly fond of Riesling back then and bought twelve bottles.
Pink later posted a photo of her spontaneous stroll through town with wine tasting on Instagram.
The multiple Grammy winner, whose real name is Alecia Moore, was temporarily accompanied on her European tour by her children Willow (now 9) and Jameson (4).
She gives insights in the documentary "All I Know So Far", which will be running on the streaming service Amazon Prime Video from Friday.
