(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 19 - Eni and bp have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to start detailed discussions on the merger of their upstream portfolios in Angola, including all oil, gas and LNG interests in the country.
The companies, explains Eni in a note, "believe that joining forces in a new jointly controlled company offers significant opportunities to promote future developments and operations in Angola. In particular, the new company will be able to generate significant synergies, create more efficient operations and increase investments and growth in the basin. (ANSA).
