Microsoft has introduced new features in Teams, designed specifically for consumers. Until now, the communication platform has mainly targeted remotely connected professionals and workers. Microsoft Teams becomes a central hub for communication and management of one's private life with novelties such as Together, with which it is possible to transform any video call between friends and relatives into a shared space, choosing from a variety of new virtual contexts such as, for example, a living room, a coffee shop or even a holiday resort, to add a touch of joy to your calls when physically distant. Another novelty concerns the sending of reactions and GIFs, a feature derived directly from the business version of Teams.GIF and reaction can also be used following a call in which you could not participate to continue the conversation.
Microsoft Teams will also allow you to invite up to 300 people within the same video call, using any device (PC, Mac or Android or iOS device) or web browser. In addition to this, even users who do not use the platform will be able to view and respond to the group chat, using SMS. Finally, for each chat you will have a dashboard where you can organize all the content shared within the group: from photos to files, from links to shared tasks and upcoming events. Teams consumer features are available for free worldwide starting today. Those who already use the app for work will simply have to click on their profile and add their personal account. New users, on the other hand, can download the app for iOS,Android or desktop to discover all the news.
