The Bremen police arrested a 42-year-old suspect who might be planning an attack on the synagogue in the Schwachhausen district of Bremen.
According to SPIEGEL research, it is a man who was born in Jerusalem.
A confidential management report states that investigations have shown "that an individual intends to commit an attack on the synagogue in Bremen."
The State Criminal Police Office (LKA) set up a special organizational structure (BAO).
The board of directors of the Jewish community in Bremen was alerted.
The police tightened security in front of the city's only synagogue.
A spokeswoman for the Bremen interior authorities said on request: “The person is currently being questioned.
It's too early to make an assessment because the investigation is ongoing. ”According to SPIEGEL information, the suspect was known to the police before the arrest.
Among other things, he appeared because of various violent crimes, bodily harm, threats, robbery and drug offenses.
According to the police paper, he was caught in “an asylum accommodation / men's dormitory”.
