The British Queen Elizabeth II can look forward to another great-grandchild soon: As the palace announced, Princess Beatrice is expecting a baby.
The Queen's granddaughter married her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020 without public announcement and in the immediate family.
It will be the couple's first child together.
"The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news," said a statement from the royal family.
Beatrice is the daughter of the Queen's second eldest son, Prince Andrew, and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is a British real estate tycoon.
Beatrice's baby is due to be born in autumn.
After the birth of the daughter of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, which is expected for the summer, it will be the Queen's twelfth great-grandchild.
