After an arrest and increased security measures at the Bremen synagogue, the Bremen police give the all-clear.
The suspicion against the 42-year-old man, whom the police arrested and interrogated in the early hours of the morning, was not confirmed.
“The Bremen police had evidence that there might be an attack on the synagogue in Bremen.
These indications have not been confirmed, "said the police in a press release.
The investigators had previously alerted the board of directors of the Jewish community and set up an investigation team.
According to a situation report, the evidence was directed to a suspected »lone perpetrator«.
