In Berlin, the police enforced the ban on a demonstration against the Corona measures on Sunday.
Even after several requests by loudspeaker announcement to adhere to the hygiene rules, there was "no significant improvement in the situation," said the police at noon.
The general ban on the assembly was also pointed out via screens;
the participants had gathered at the Großer Stern, the central square in Berlin's Tiergarten.
On Twitter, the police reminded them that attending a prohibited meeting could be fined up to 1000 euros: "That would be the equivalent of 555 curry sausages, for example."
The operations management finally decided to "dissolve the meeting," it said.
Accordingly, people were asked to leave the place over loudspeakers.
"We are now also making sure that people leave."
Several rallies planned for the weekend in Berlin had previously been banned by the court.
The reason given was that violations of "hygiene regulations under infection protection law" were to be feared.
This assumption justified negative experiences from the recent past with the expected group of participants from the so-called lateral thinker scene.
A registered demonstration by the alliance against displacement and "rent madness" was approved.
It should take place at noon in the center and is aimed at the tilted Berlin rent cap.
