Jacques Audiard, the son of the ogre on Arte

2021-05-23T06:38:59.100Z

After the screening of his film De rouille et d'os, the filmmaker has his portrait taken at 10:55 p.m. That of a taciturn being for whom cinema has become a lifeline.

Jacques Audiard will undoubtedly be part of the Cannes feast at the beginning of July. After a stint with

Le Bureau des Légendes

(he completed the series of his friend Éric Rochant), the filmmaker completed the filming of the

Olympics

, co-written with two directors, Céline Sciamma (

Portrait of the young girl on fire

) and Léa Mysius (

Ava

). We don't know much about this new feature film other than that it is inspired by several new graphics by American author Adrian Tomine, that Noémie Merlant is the only known face of the cast and that it is in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

Pierre-Henri Gibert's documentary,

Jacques Audiard, cinema at heart

, does not evoke this new work which is akin to a turn in a filmography that already has a few (with the western

Les Frères Sisters

especially).

This portrait may be late, it offers an interesting overview (52 minutes, a little short) of the life and work of Audiard.

Pierre-Henri Gibert composed without the person concerned.
