If the Frenchwoman finished second with her song "Voilà", the European competition achieves its best score since 2009 on French television.

Barbara Pravi lost, but she won the hearings match.

With "Voilà", the French singer finished second in the Eurovision Song Contest, Saturday, May 22, behind Italy.

The end of the evening was marked by a controversy over the singer of the transalpine hard-rock group who had to deny consuming drugs after being filmed live in a position that may seem ambiguous, but without formal proof.

With almost 5.5 million fans (31.4% audience share), this is in any case a historic score for France 2, the record since 2009.

In 2018, Eurovision had experienced a revival with 5.2 million faithful, and 4.8 million in 2019. The competition was not contested in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

La Star Ac ', third

The public service doubles with a rebroadcast of its detective series on France 3, "Cassandre", which brings together 3.7 million viewers (16.4%).

Which is a little better than the documentary on the 20 years of Star Academy broadcast by TF1, which gathered 3.6 million nostalgic (16.1%).

The other pillars of Saturday night are playing their game: “Hawaii 5.0” on M 6 (1.8 million, 8%), “Échappées Belles” on France 5, which never goes below one million (1.2 million, 5, 6%).

Just one last thing: Lieutenant Columbo leaves no one in sixth place with his 734,000 fans (3.1%).
