(ANSA) - YANGON, MAY 24 - For the first time since the strike last February, Burmese deposed leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, appeared in court.
His lawyer reports it.
"The ousted party will exist as long as the people exist," the Nobel Peace Prize laureate said in the courtroom.
"He wished his people to remain healthy and said the National League for Democracy will exist as long as the people exist because it was founded for the people," said his lawyer, Min Min Soe.
