One ferry line connects three Greek magic islands belonging to the Cycladic archipelago of Aegean islands.

We changed their names: Serifos, Sifnos and Milos.

These islands have a secret recommendation: here, do not settle for just atmospheric beaches or picturesque coastal towns, but enter the interior of the island, the places that most tourists do not reach.

Here, in the heart of the islands, you will meet Greek villages that look like movie filming sites.

But they are not.

They are completely real.

Try it for yourself.

Serifos: Greek music and perfect beaches

The island of Serifos covers 75 km2 and is located about 160 km from the port of Piraeus (about four hours sailing). The most striking thing to those who get off the ferry are the island houses - white with blue touches, in the best architectural tradition of this area in the Aegean Sea.

This island has the talent to reduce the stress level of everyone who comes to it. Everything here is calm, colorful and wonderfully pastoral. On the other hand, if you just want to - you can spend a stormy evening of Greek music in taverns, including traditional dances that can not be refused. Just choose.

The central town of Serifos is built on a rocky hill overlooking the island from above, and its beauty is visible even before getting off the ferry. Stairs connect the lower and upper part, and bars, cafes and taverns await in the narrow streets. A short walk of a few minutes stands a Venetian castle, built in the 15th century.

A particularly romantic sunset tour offers the nearby main port, Livadi.

And if you're interested in the sea (and obviously you're interested), go on a quest to find the perfect beach on the island.

Getting to the various beaches is done by car, on foot or by sea.

You should know that if you are interested in experiencing the nightlife, the place to experience it is in Libadi.

Many of the bars and restaurants here close their doors late, sometimes even in the wee hours of the night.

Sifnos: Culinary glory and glorious solitude

On the island of Sifnos, the motto around which life is conducted is serenity and simplicity, which is exactly what many of the European tourists who come here again and again in season, and do not replace Sipnos on any other island.

This island is full of inspiring landscapes, and it is no wonder that this is where some of Greece's greatest poets came from. Quite a few celebrated chefs have also grown up on this island, sometimes referred to as the "Island of Tastes", thanks to the unique traditional dishes offered on it. And those who set out on a journey to the interior of the island will find that Sifnos is home to more than 200 churches, some of them supremely photogenic.

The capital of the island is Apollonía, built on three hills, and between its houses and its narrow streets you will discover a small treasure in the form of the Folklore Museum, located in the square of Apollonía. In every tavern and restaurant in the town you can enjoy some of the extraordinary dishes that brought Sipnos its culinary fame.

A few kilometers from Apollonia is the small town of Artemonas, which can be reached thanks to the panoramic views and some of the best restaurants and patisseries in the whole island.

In any case, do not miss a visit to Kastro, built on an impressive cliff above the blue sea.

This is one of the most beautiful villages on the island - its stone houses are decorated with wooden balconies, and small and secret courtyards are revealed one after the other.

True magic.

As for the beaches - here you can choose from lively beaches, with bars and taverns facing the water and a cosmopolitan atmosphere including Kamáres or Vathí or choose more secluded beaches, ask some of them walking, in the heart of the rocky landscape, only you and the nature surrounding Everything.

Milos: Like a geological museum

Last in the trio is Milos, a volcanic island that gained fame for the fact that here, in 1820, the statue of the goddess Aphrodite was discovered, created in 130 BC and nicknamed "Venus from Milo". Thanks to the authentic atmosphere that surrounds everything. The

island, which covers an area of about 150 square kilometers, boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the area, thanks to its volcanic history, which "sculpted" wonderfully dramatic landscape formations. Here you will discover huge rocks in a variety of shapes, textures and shades, and in general it is worth knowing that in ancient times some of the ancient ore mines operated in the Mediterranean area.

And the same rich geological history has created on the island mysterious caves and caverns and hot springs, some of which have become must-see sites for tourists. Among the popular caves you will find Sykiá, and among the favorite springs - Kanáva and Alykí.

Alongside geology, Milos also boasts a glorious history.

It starts with ancient mining sites that have become visiting sites, and continues to an ancient Christian catacombs site, a fascinating mining museum that displays 11,000 years of local mining history and more.

Even in Milos, once you surrender to the villages and beaches, you will not want to leave.

We are talking about no less than 80 beaches, some of which are beautifully secluded and some of which are touristy and bustling.

And in any case, do not leave before tasting local watermelon pie and Milos cheesecakes.

Even if you do not taste these - Milos' good taste will stay with you long after you return home.
