It is with mastery that in Paris, the Picasso and Rodin museums have together transformed, through the initiative of their directors, Laurent Le Bon and Catherine Chevillot (who have since left to preside over the City of Architecture), the crisis into an opportunity. The respective mansions, 17th and 18th centuries, host the confrontations of the two giants who have nourished the history of art and enriched our public collections. Rodin (1840-1917), which heralds modern art. Picasso (1881-1973), who embodies him. Brewing with intimate knowledge their seemingly inexhaustible collection, the two Parisian museums offer the public a long period of art: until January 2, 2022 to make the round trip between the sculptor of Meudon and Picasso abroad, to compare the hangings, tight and sensual at the Rodin Museum, clear and didactic at the Picasso Museum.
