The Turin prosecutor has
initiated investigations
into the case of Musa Balde, the migrant who committed suicide at 23 in the Turin CPR.
The young man had been taken to the facility after having suffered an attack in Ventimiglia because he was not in order.
The suicidal migrant at the Turin CPR was not followed up as his situation required.
This was supported by Mauro Palma, national guarantor of the rights of persons deprived of personal liberty.
The 23-year-old, originally from Guinea,
was attacked by three people
on 9 May
. "A person entrusted to public responsibility - says Palma - must be taken in charge and held in ways that take into account his specific situation, possible vulnerability and fragility. This has not happened".
