4-hour general strike of all air transport personnel on 18 June.

This is the protest launched jointly by Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti and Ugl Air Transport to defend the sector which - according to the proclamation - "has suffered and will suffer for months from the very serious repercussions" of the pandemic and "together with tourism is without doubt one of the most affected production sectors in the country ".

The unions, which have been asking for "a permanent crisis table" for some time, are asking for "a series of interventions" especially on the crises of Alitalia, Air Italy, Ernest, Blue Panorama, Air Dolomiti, Norwegian.

The protest action will take place from 13.00 to 17.00 and will involve all the workers of the companies in the Air Transport sector.

"Most of the activities, at this moment, are stopped or operate with volumes reduced by 85/90% compared to the pre-covid period", explain the unions in the proclamation, recalling that the trade unions for some time "have been requesting a table unheard of permanent interministerial crisis and a control room that has the purpose of guaranteeing social stability in a sector so heavily affected by the global pandemic and of rewriting the rules of the sector. Following the explosion of the global pandemic and the almost total elimination of air traffic a series of interventions aimed at guaranteeing its industrial stability become more urgent ".

Among the hottest topics, "the extension of the redundancy block until the sector resumes", the review of the National Airport Plan, the disputes of many companies such as Alitalia-Ita, Air Italy, Norwegian, Ernest and Blu Panorama; the crisis of the airport management companies, the refinancing of the sector's solidarity fund, the contract and the fight against industrial relocation.
