Non-resident students will not be able to vote in regional and administrative meetings in October in the cities where they reside for study, as foreseen by a bill being examined by the Constitutional Affairs Commission and promoted by the Beppe Valarioti Collective.
In an informal meeting between the members of the Commission and representatives of the Interior ministries, led by Undersecretary Ivan Scalfarotto, they said that the Interior Ministry has "insurmountable" technical problems in being able to implement this law even if it were approved by Parliament.
A window has been opened for future political and European elections and for referendums.
