280 wineries open their doors to wine lovers, in 14 regions of Italy, between proximity wine tourism, safety, sustainability and the desire to have fun in the open air through the stories of the producers.

This is how Cantine Aperte is back, the cult event of the Wine Tourism Movement, now in its 29th edition, ready to raise the curtain on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 May, and on 19 and 20 June together with the new Vigneti Aperti event.

Booking is mandatory - explain the organizers -, in full compliance with anti-Covid regulations and above all in the name of conviviality, wine culture and hospitality, distinctive features of all the appointments of the Movimento Turismo del Vino. The regions involved are Abruzzo, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Piedmont, Lombardy, Sardinia, Tuscany, Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto, Puglia and Sicily.

"In recent months we have felt a great lack of appointments such as Cantine Aperte" underlines the undersecretary for agricultural, food and forestry policies Gian Marco Centinaio. "Each wine is deeply linked to its land" he continues, and "this sector represents the spearhead of our Made in Italy agri-food and will be an important driving force for our tourism, now that the country is finally reopening". "The permanent table that we have set up at the Mipaaf on food and wine tourism - he reiterates - will make a valuable contribution to promoting the flavors and beauties of our regions".

"There is a great desire to start over - adds Nicola D'Auria, president of the Wine Tourism Movement - and we responsibly kick off Cantine Aperte, aware of the dual significance it holds this year". "An opportunity to fully satisfy the desire for aggregation" he underlines and to "support the winemakers who work hard every day in promoting the wine tourism of our wonderful territories". The first edition of Vigneti Aperti will therefore also be held, which will see Umbria and Marche at the forefront. Everything will take place under the banner of the national theme #Winecation - we read -, chosen to recall the trend of "staycation" and therefore of the proximity holiday to discover or rediscover the charm of the nearest wine-growing areas.
