(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 26 - The judicial affair involving the mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, in relation to an appointment at the Campidoglio ends. As of today, the sentence of acquittal reaffirmed last December by the Court of Appeal of the Capital is definitive. The Attorney General has not appealed to the Supreme Court and therefore the sentence has passed unjustified. Raggi had been accused by the Public Prosecutor of the false appointment (later withdrawn) of Renato Marra, brother of the then head of the Capitol Staff Raffaele, head of the tourism department of the Municipality. In the first instance, the mayor was acquitted, in November 2018, with the formula "because the deed does not constitute a crime". (HANDLE).
