In Berlin-Neukölln, a money messenger and a suspect are said to have been injured in a bank robbery.
That is what the police said.
The police were called to a bank branch on Johannisthaler Chaussee around 10.30 a.m., it said.
A police spokesman confirmed reports from "Bild" and "Tagesspiegel" that it was a branch of Deutsche Bank.
According to this, the attack should have occurred in an anteroom.
According to the police, two perpetrators attacked the security guard with irritant gas.
The messenger is said to have drawn a pistol, fired a shot and injured one of the perpetrators.
The injured suspect was arrested and taken to hospital, it said.
The security guard also had to receive medical attention.
According to the spokesman, he also had to go to the hospital.
The police did not initially announce how serious the injuries of the two men were.
The second suspect is said to have fled without prey and unrecognized.
The police are looking for him, as a spokesman said.
It is unclear whether there were other perpetrators.
Bank employees and customers were not injured, it said.
The criminal police cordoned off the area around the bank and interviewed witnesses.
