A prince marries an actress, and shortly afterwards the couple turn their backs on the royal family and move to Hollywood.

Sounds like a familiar story?

This is what many users of the "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" app apparently thought when they played the new level "Royal Runaways".

The game segment is about the fictional Prince Aston and his wife, Princess Bianca.

Your love story is reminiscent of that of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan.

Even visually you can see similarities between the characters and the real people.

In the game, the couple leaves royalty, falling out with the Queen - and even gives a television interview in the style of the recently broadcast conversation with Oprah Winfrey.

In it, Princess Bianca says that the prince did everything to welcome her to the family.

"Unfortunately, I can't say that about everyone in the family," says the character.

The fictional queen later complains in the game about the indiscretions in the TV interview.

All of this is very similar to the events surrounding the real royal couple.

A little too strong, as apparently many users found.

Complaints followed: Kim Kardashian would take advantage of the story to make money.

In addition, the representation of the Queen in the game is disrespectful.

Now the responsible company Glu Mobile has removed the level from the game and apologized.

A company spokesman told the newspaper "The Mirror" that they had received a lot of feedback on the gaming segment.

"It is obvious that we missed the mark and we apologize sincerely," said the spokesman.

"We didn't want to direct any negativity against a specific person or group of people."

Actually, the aim of the game is to rise from the unknown to a celebrity as quickly as possible under the guidance of a virtual Kim Kardashian.

The game has been available since 2014.

The app can be downloaded for free, but income is generated through so-called in-app purchases, which users can use to gain advantages in the game.
