Rescue operation in the port of Neuwied: A pleasure craft exploded shortly after refueling.
The owner could be saved.
As the police announced, an emergency call was made on Tuesday at around 5.15 p.m. that an explosion had occurred in the port.
A boat was therefore refueled by the harbor master.
When the boat owner started the engine again, it exploded.
Since the harbor master reacted quickly, the skipper could be rescued.
He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The alarmed fire brigade put out the fire, but has not yet been able to recover the boat according to local media reports.
It has sunk and is now about 3.5 meters deep.
Leaking operating materials would be contained by the fire brigade.
