Whether "Bridgerton", "The Witcher" or "Stranger Things": Some Netflix series are particularly popular.

It is not for nothing that the productions mentioned are among the most viewed originals of the streaming service *.

But Netflix doesn't always have a hit.

Occasionally, series are literally torn up by the critics.

And which productions are so badly received?

GQ

Netflix series: These five originals received particularly poor ratings from film critics

  • “Insatiable” with 11 percent

: With this first place, the opinions couldn't be more different. While the professional film critics gave an average of just 11 percent, the audience score is a whopping 83 percent. "Insatiable" was considered a controversial series from the start that was accused of poorly portraying corpulent body types. Maybe that's why the production performed so badly with the critics. In any case, the reviews could have been a reason why Netflix canceled production after only two seasons.

  • “Friends from College” with 26 percent

: And another comedy series that failed to convince the critics. “Friends from College” received just 26 percent from the critics - and an astonishing 88 percent from the viewers. This example also proves that the opinion of professionals does not always have to go hand in hand with the opinion of the majority. Despite the high audience scores, this series was also canceled after only two seasons.

  • "Dead girls don't lie" with 35 percent

: One of the biggest Netflix hits came off surprisingly badly with the critics. In the case of “Dead Girls Don't Lie”, the audience score of 57 percent was not particularly high either. Why is that? This drama was also considered particularly controversial, as difficult topics such as suicide or bullying were often portrayed in a ruthless manner. However, Netflix did not end the series prematurely. Instead, the countless discussions about the production seem to have even moved the streaming service to bring more and more seasons to “13 Reasons Why”. After the 4th season, however, the story ended.

  • “Fate: The Winx Saga” with 37 percent

: Not everyone liked the dark interpretation of the brightly colored cartoon series “Winx Club”.

Correspondingly, there was only 37 percent of the critics for “Fate: The Winx Saga”.

Countless fans have defended the series and called not to compare it with the original.

In the end there was at least 76 percent of the audience.

  • "Marvel's Iron Fist" with 37 percent

: Marvel churns out one hit after the other.

With "Marvel's Iron Fist" the company seems to have sold out, at least claim the critics.

The audience is at least moderately enthusiastic about the production with 68 percent.
