The investigation into the fatal shots in Dänischenhagen and Kiel is ongoing.
Divers have now recovered more weapon parts from the Kiel Canal, as reported by NDR and the German Press Agency (dpa).
"With two parts we assume with a probability bordering on certainty that they belonged to the weapon we were looking for," said a police spokeswoman.
If there are four other finds, investigations would have to be awaited first.
A 47-year-old is suspected of killing his 43-year-old wife, who was separated from him, and a ten-year-old man in a house in Dänischenhagen and a 52-year-old acquaintance in Kiel on May 19.
The suspect presented himself to the police in Hamburg on the day of the crime and is in custody.
Before the judge, he had his lawyer explain that he did not deny the crime.
Six parts of the weapon they were looking for were found
Two diving teams were in action on Wednesday after a notice near the old Levensau high bridge in Kiel.
For this, shipping had to be temporarily stopped at the location of the canal.
As early as Friday, divers had found weapon parts in the port of Eckernförde and also in the Kiel Fjord off Möltenort.
The police found a total of six parts of the weapon they were looking for.
According to the public prosecutor's office in Kiel, an acquaintance of the suspect stated that he had sunk it for him and gave precise details of the location.
"But there is no suspicion that he was involved in the actual acts," said Chief Prosecutor Michael Bimler.
The suspect also had a firearm with him when he was arrested in Hamburg.
According to the prosecutor, it is still unclear whether the acts were carried out with different weapons.
The autopsy report was also not yet available on Wednesday.
It is also unclear whether Dänischenhagen or Kiel was the first crime scene.
